Foods rich in zinc and magnesium also play a role in combating acne. Although scientific studies on the direct correlation between a healthy diet and better skin are not exhaustive, overwhelming anecdotal evidence supports the connection. While reducing dairy consumption may not be a standalone solution to a pimple problem, it could make a significant difference for those dealing with severe breakouts, according to experts. If you choose to limit dairy, ensure you obtain sufficient calcium from alternative sources like leafy greens or consider taking a supplement.
